Black color, with amazing aromas of blackberries, anise, black pepper, and minerals. Full-bodied, with braised meat, superpol ished tannins and an ultralong finish. The bomb. This is the first release of a single-vineyard Syrah made by Piedmont’s Luca Currado (Vietti) and Christine Vernay (Georges Vernay/Condrieu), who now consults here. Best after 2011. 500 cases made.
